Urban Blu Skin Clinic is a private skincare clinic located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Owned and operated by Ally Kanzenbach, better known as The Blue Eyed Esthetician on social media. Ally’s background allows her to specialize in advanced skincare treatments & full body wellness. Ally is passionate about education for guests and fellow beauty professionals, formulations in skincare products & keeping it very real for her clients. She is spunky, open, approachable & listens to your concerns while giving you the correct advice and keeps the BS to a minimum. She is a go getter & truly authentically herself. My biggest inspiration comes from YOU, my clients. You are the reason I do what I do, I learn more from you than anywhere else.
Best thing about being an esthetician?
Changing peoples lives & educating others to do the same.
Comfort show?
FRIENDS quite literally helped me through most of my life's hardships. I have seen every episode 100+ times!
What would you do if you weren't The Blue Eyed Esthetician?
I’d open a plant shop that has a taco bar with unique margaritas where you can bring your dogs OR I would open the optimal ADHD friendly work/study space.
Best home cooked meal?
Mom’s Chicken Noodle Soup OR mine and Deven's Bang Bang shrimp tacos!!
Your perfect day?
Coffee on the porch, morning walk by the lake, sunny farmers market, bring the dog to a brewery, visit a plant store, sunset dinner on the boat, bonfire with smores.
Favorite skincare book?
Its NOT Just Acne
Why did you become an esthetician?
I struggled with acne for years and watched my brother stuggle as well. After trying literally everything I started working at a medspa and they truly transformed my skin. I always wanted to help people medically but wasnt interested in med school.

Meet our Medical Director, Jodi
Jodi Egland has been a licensed NP for over 20 years. She comes with experience in family medicine & student healthcare. Jodi specializes in women's health & psychiatry as well! We are so excited to be on this new journey together while providing you with the skin of your dreams.

What is your favorite part about practicing medicine?Learning to work alongside a variety of patients and personalities. I have always loved helping others and the diversity of patients we get to see is truly special.
What are you most excited about with the opening of Urban Blu Skin Clinic?
Learning more about the skincare industry and helping others find the love for their skin again!
